LEGAL NOTICE: SEEWELL® LEGAL WARNINGS
Please read and follow these usage and safety conditions carefully before using the SEEWELL® product. You may download them for proper application. Ignoring or failing to comply with these warnings may compromise your safety and that of others, and releases the manufacturer and distributor from any liability.
SEEWELL® is a device designed to improve visibility for motorcycle riders and passengers in rainy conditions. Its main function is to facilitate the evacuation of water from the outside of the visor and fog or condensation from the inside, simultaneously. The device’s effectiveness may vary depending on weather conditions, the condition of the visor, and correct usage by the user.
Before using SEEWELL® for the first time, it is recommended to practice in a controlled environment, thoroughly wetting both sides of the helmet visor and operating the device, in order to become familiar with its functionality and safety limits.
1. General Instructions
-
Read, follow, and keep the user manual, these warnings, and the explanatory diagrams included in this document.
-
Watch the official assembly, disassembly, and operation videos available on our website (www.seewelltech.com) or on our YouTube channel (@Seewelltech) before first use.
-
Installation and use of the product must be carried out only as indicated in the instructions and diagrams provided.
2. Helmet Compatibility
-
The helmet used must be certified according to the ECE 22.06 standard (effective in Europe since July 3, 2022). ECE 22.05 certification may be valid while legally coexisting.
-
Only ECE/UN R22 certification is accepted in Spain and Europe. Foreign certifications (DOT, Snell, or others) do not authorize the use of SEEWELL® in European territory.
-
Using SEEWELL® with a helmet not certified according to applicable regulations is prohibited.
-
If using SEEWELL® outside the EU and/or on helmets not certified under ECE 22.06, verify helmet compatibility.
-
Insert and remove SEEWELL® only in the visor areas indicated in the attached diagrams (always within the 105° area, never in the 90° peripheral angle) in accordance with ECE 22.06.
3. Product Use
-
Use exclusively in rainy conditions. NEVER USE ON DRY SURFACES.
-
Do not use SEEWELL® if the visor is not sufficiently wet on both sides (inside and outside).
-
SEEWELL® is intuitive. Operate it smoothly and continuously without forcing or making abrupt movements. Improper operation may prevent correct functionality.
-
SEEWELL® is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
-
Do not place, use, or store near electronic devices or other magnets.
-
Avoid excessive heat (≥ XX °C, pending confirmation) and prolonged direct sunlight.
-
Do not use chemical products (benzene, gasoline, glass cleaners, insect repellents, solvents, etc.) for cleaning. Use only warm water.
-
The effect of cleaning may vary depending on weather conditions; safe driving techniques adapted to road, traffic, and weather conditions are essential for your safety.
4. Safety Conditions for Riding
-
SEEWELL® must be used with the vehicle stopped.
-
If the user decides to operate it while riding, they acknowledge that effectiveness depends on:
-
Weather conditions
-
Road surface condition
-
Visor condition
-
Traffic density
-
Rider’s physical condition, experience, and skill
-
-
Riding a motorcycle involves inherent risks. SEEWELL® can help reduce them but cannot eliminate them.
-
Always respect speed limits, traffic conditions, road signs, and regulations.
5. Inspection and Maintenance
Before each use:
-
Check the magnets’ strength and adhesion.
-
Verify the presence and correct condition of the lateral safety stops. Do not use SEEWELL® if any are missing or damaged.
-
Inspect SEEWELL® and the visor for cracks, scratches, or defects. Stop using immediately if found.
-
Check your helmet’s lifespan. Using a helmet past its valid life is at your sole risk.
-
Ensure the visor surface is clean and in good condition before installation.
After each use:
-
Remove SEEWELL®, clean it, and store it as instructed to preserve magnetism and prevent damage to the visor.
-
Store in a clean, dry place, protected from sunlight, metallic surfaces, other magnets, and electronic devices.
6. Usage Limitations
-
SEEWELL® is not compatible with Pinlock® or other anti-fog/rain systems or accessories that interfere with the visor.
-
Do not use SEEWELL® as a cleaning device, especially for dust, insects, or solid debris.
-
Stop using the product immediately if demagnetized, damaged, or broken. Purchase a new one.
-
The product must not be modified or altered. Unauthorized modifications void the warranty and release the manufacturer, seller, and distributor from any liability.
-
Any storage or use violating these warnings, endangering the user, third parties, or property, releases the manufacturer and seller from liability.
7. Responsibility and Legal Limitation
-
SEEWELL® has been tested and approved according to certain European standards.
-
Use is permitted only in countries where it meets legal requirements.
-
Use in unauthorized territories excludes claims for damages in Spanish, European, or any foreign courts.
-
The buyer acknowledges that riding motorcycles carries inherent risks, especially in rainy conditions. SEEWELL® can improve visibility but does not guarantee uniform results or replace safe and responsible riding.
8. Final Recommendations
-
Do not ride with the visor open, as it increases risk of facial or eye injuries from flying objects.
-
Operate SEEWELL® only under appropriate water, traffic, road, and safety conditions.
-
IMPORTANT: Carefully follow the schematic diagrams below for correct placement of SEEWELL® according to ECE 22.06. The diagrams indicate the 105° area on the visor; the peripheral 90° area must never be used for installation or operation.
